$75 - Alumni pricing for those who have already taken and successfully completed the Level 1 Course. Please contact shayna.sangster@usatf.org to verify alumni status and register for the course.

The hotel is located on 87th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenues. It is one block from the 86th Street subway stop for the 1 train. It is four blocks from the school site at PS 9. There are several other hotels and hostels within walking distance on the Upper West Side for a range of prices.

Instructors

  • Neil Fitzgerald is the School Director and Sprints Instructor. He is a USATF Level 2 Coach in the Sprints and Endurance and has completed the Level 2 - Youth Specialization Course. He is the Masters World Champion in the 800m and 4x400m relay.
  • Fred Benlein is the Endurance Instructor and a USATF Level 3 Coach. He has 29 years experience coaching high school, collegiate, elite, masters and disabled athletes from entry to the national level.
  • Jonathan Hill is the Assistant Coach at West Point and will be instructing the Jumps and Multi-Events. While coaching at Eastern Washington University he coached 24 All-Big Sky perfomers, 12 indiviudal school records, 3 OSAA Champions and 17 All-State awardees.
  • Kevin McGill is one of the founding fathers of the USATF Coaching Education Program. He is the co-author of The Throws Manual and has been name an IAAF lecturer for the throwing events. Very recently, McGill co-authored “The Hammer Throw Handbook”. McGill has spent over 40 years coaching, including 12 years at Columbia University.
