  • Matt Lydum, PhD, researches, writes, and teaches on issues related to human performance with a focus on educating coaches to provide developmentally appropriate experiences. He is Level 2 certified in Throws, Jumps, Combined Events and Sprints, Hurdles, & Relays. He is the project writer for the Human Kinetics text Coaching Youth Track & Field and serves as Director of the USATF Level 2 – Youth Specialization Course. He served on the Team USA Coaching Staff for the 2007 & 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships. Lydum was the 1998 USOC delegate for the International Olympic Academy and has coached numerous All-Americans at the small college and youth levels.
  • Diane Wholey is in her 15th year at Texas Tech University currently serving as Assistant Athletic Director. As a coach, she has worked with numerous All-Americans, conference champions, and record holders in the explosive power events. She is an active leader in the sport nationally and internationally having served on Team USA staffs for 2 decades including service as Head Women’s Manager for the 2010 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Doha, Qatar; 2011 IAAF World Outdoor Championships in Daegu, South Korea; and the 2012 Olympic Games in London. She is a Level 2 Instructor in jumps and combined events.
