$75 - Alumni pricing for those who have already taken and successfully completed
the Level 1 Course. Please contact

Instructors
- Dr. Matt Lydum is assistant professor of physical
education and field events coach at Defiance College in Northwest Ohio. He
is an active researcher, writer, teacher, and administrator on issues
related to youth in sport. As School Director of the USATF Youth Level 2
Program, USOC Delegate to the International Olympic Academy, and project
writer for the Human Kinetics publication of the book Coaching Youth Track &
Field, he seeks to expand access to coaching education and promote physical
activity opportunities for children.
- David Pavlansky was the Head Boys' Track and Cross
Country Coach at Boardman High School from 1999 - 2010. Dave began his
career coaching high school and collegiate football (Miami, OH/Youngstown
State). Twice named OAT&CCC District 1 Boys' Track Coach of the Year, Dave
received the 2007 Fred Daffler State Coach of the Year Award for Boys' Cross
Country. Dave has worked a decade with Ohio's Midwest Meet of Champions
team, serving in all capacities from men's assistant coach to state
coordinator. In 2007 he was among 10 sprint coaches selected nationwide by
the USATF to attend their Emerging Elite Coaches' School in Orlando,
Florida. Boardman's teams have produced both Indoor and Outdoor state
champions as well as two Nike All-Americans. Dave has completed the USATF
Level 2 programs in Jumps, Endurance, and Sprints / Hurdles / Relays.
- Dr. Wendy Truvillion is the Assistant Principal of
Athletics/Activities at Maryvale High School in Phoenix Union HS District,
since 2007. She presently serves as the USATF Women’s Junior Development
Co-Commissioner is the USATF’s coordinator for Coaches’ Education in
Arizona. In addition, Wendy served as the Head Coach for the 2012 IAAF World
Junior Championship Team that traveled to Barcelona, Spain, July, 2012. She
has coached on over 15 international teams for the USATF as well as Georgia
Tech and Penn State University. She has hosted and taught over 20 Level 1
schools since 1994 and is deeply involved in the evolvement of USATF’s Youth
Level 2 program.
