From Pasadena and the San Fernando Valley: Take
I-210 east to Towne Exit. Turn right (south) to Foothill Boulevard. Turn left
onto Foothill Boulevard. Turn right onto Claremont Boulevard. Turn right onto
Ninth Street. The Pitzer visitor parking lot will be directly on your right
(East Mesa parking lot).
From I-10 (San Bernardino Freeway): Exit on
Indian Hill Boulevard going north (towards the mountains) for about 2 miles.
Turn right onto Foothill Boulevard. Turn right onto Claremont Boulevard, which
is the third stoplight. Turn right onto Ninth Street. The Pitzer visitor parking
lot will be directly on your right (East Mesa parking lot).
From I-210 east (Foothill Freeway): Take I-210
east to Towne exit. Turn right (south) to Foothill Boulevard. Turn left onto
Foothill Boulevard. Turn right onto Claremont Boulevard, which is the third

Instructors
- Dr. Tony Boston is an assistant professor and the Men’s
Head XC & Track & Field Coach for the Pomona-Pitzer Colleges. Dr. Boston
has had the title of head coach at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (NY),
Whittier College (CA), and El Monte HS (CA). A versatile coach, Boston has
successfully mentored NCAA qualifiers in cross country, high jump, triple
jump, hurdles, 4X400m relay and the middle and long distance events. The
former biology teacher holds USATF Level 2 Certifications in the
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, Endurance Events, and the Jumps. He has earned a
personal training certification from the American College of Sports Medicine
and recently earned his doctorate in health education and promotion. Boston
recently completed the requirements for his USATF Level 3 Certification in
the Sprints & Hurdles. In January 2012, Coach Boston garnered elite coach
recognition from the IAAF by successfully fulfilling the requirements for
the IAAF Academy Diploma.
- Rosario Aguilar, M.S., CSCS, USAW is entering her 4th
year as an assistant track and field coach at Whittier College, working
primarily with the multi-events, hurdles and jumps. Coach Aguilar
distinguished herself as a conference and national competitor in the 400m
hurdles and heptathlete. Aguilar, a double major, earned a Bachelor of
Science in Kinesiology and Biology with an emphasis on Physical Therapy. She
ran professionally for her native country Mexico city in 2009 before coming
back to completing her Masters Degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition at
Cal State University of Long Beach. Her specialty is on biomechanics and
nutrition, some of her publications are on Javelin throws Analysis and
Weightlifting Mechanics. She will be pursuing her PhD in Biomechanics in
2013.
- Troy Johnson was formerly the Head Cross Country and
Track and Field Coach at Cal Poly Pomona. In this capacity, he successfully
directed the men’s and women’s programs to new heights—producing 6 NCAA All
Americans. Prior to Cal Poly Pomona, Johnson spent seven years as a highly
successful assistant coach at Cal State Stanislaus. Overall Johnson helped
guide athletes to 77 NCAA qualifying marks, and 31 NCAA DII All-Americans.
Johnson coached one of his athletes to earn a gold medal as part of the 2008
USA World Indoor 4x400 team. He is a USATF Level 1 instructor and is a
USATF Level 2 Coach in the areas of Endurance, Jumps and Sprints/Hurdles &
Relays. As an athlete, Johnson earned a provisional qualifying time in the
400-meter hurdles for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Trials. Troy Johnson is a USATF
Level 3 Certified Coach in the Sprints & Hurdles. He has also earned an IAAF
Academy Diploma in the Sprint & Hurdles—the highest level of certification
awarded by the federation.
