Directions to Villanova University from Philadelphia International Airport

Car: When leaving the airport, follow the signs for I-95 South. Take I-95 South to Exit 7 (I-476 (Blue Route) North-Plymouth Meeting). Take I-476 (Blue Route) North to Exit 13 (US 30 - St. Davids/Villanova). Turn Left on Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) for a half mile and at the fifth traffic light you will see Villanova's parking lot on the right.

Train: Ask the attendant at the airport baggage counter to direct you to the train station.  Purchase a combination ticket to the Villanova Station. All trains (including the SEPTA's Regional Rail Line, R1 (Airport Line) go to the 30th Street Station in Philadelphia. At 30th Street, change trains and board the SEPTA's Regional Rail Line, R5 (Paoli Local) train to Villanova Station - directly on campus.

Main Line Airport Service: This limousine service runs direct from Philadelphia International Airport to Villanova University. For more information, call 610-525-0513.

Directions to Villanova by Train

From Philadelphia's AMTRAK 30th Street Station: Board SEPTA Regional Rail Line (#R5). The R5 line also makes connections at Suburban Station (16th & JFK Blvd.) and Market East Station (11th & Market), both in Center City Philadelphia. This train makes stops approximately every 30 minutes at the Villanova Campus.

From Philadelphia's 69th Street Terminal: The Market Street Subway Elevated Line connects with the SEPTA - Norristown High Speed Rail Line (R-100), which has a Villanova Campus stop.

  • Dr. Matt Lydum is the Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Field Events Coach at Defiance College in Northwest Ohio.  He is an active researcher, writer, teacher, and administrator on issues related to youth in sport.  As School Director of the USATF Youth Level 2 Program, USOC Delegate to the International Olympic Academy, and project writer for the Human Kinetics publication of the book Coaching Youth Track & Field, he seeks to expand access to coaching education and promote physical activity opportunities for children. Lydum was selected as the 2007 & 2009 World Youth Championships Coach and a winner of the Fred Wilt Coaching Education Award.
  • Loren Seagrave is the sprints, hurdles, relays Instructor for the Villanova University Level 1 School. He is the Co-Founder of Speed Dynamics and Velocity Sport Performance. He has been a USATF Coaching Education instructor since 1983. He has coached dozens of World Championship and Olympic Medalists and is the IAAF Curriculum Coordinator for Certification in the Sprints.
  • Andrew Allden is the School Director & Endurance Instructor.  He is a Level 1 and 2 Endurance Instructor and has 18 years experience as Division I Cross Country and Track Coach.  He was selected as the 2003 Southeast Men’s Coach of the Year and coached the 2001 Division I Men’s 800m Champion.
  • Kevin McGill is the Throws Instructor for the Villanova University Level 1 School. He is a co-founder of the USATF Coaching Education Program and co-author of the Throws Manual. He has been named an IAAF “Official Lecturer” for throwing events and has over 40 years of coaching experience.
