Schedule

The school starts Sunday, 28 July at 6:45pm and will finish on Thursday, August 1 at 11:30am. Participants will be provided detailed instruction about check-in and registration upon acceptance to the school. Dinner will be available for participants purchasing the room and board option from 5:30-6:30pm. Breakfast on Thursday is included in the room and board package. Attendance at the closing session on Thursday August 1 is mandatory in order to receive a Level 2 – Youth Specialization Certificate of completion. Please be advised that you should not purchase a plane ticket until you are notified of acceptance into the school. The room and board package does not include housing on the night of Thursday, August 1.

Travel

The Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO) is the only major airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. Coaches flying into the area should travel through this airport.

Classes and Attendance

Classes will be conducted in campus classrooms and the at a local track facility. Attendance is required at all sessions. Bring comfortable coaching clothing. Classes will run from 8:45am until 5:15pm with practical application labs from 7:00-8:30pm.

Housing and Meals

The room and board package includes a shared room with 3 meals per day beginning with Sunday dinner and including Thursday breakfast. There are a limited number of single rooms for a higher price on a first come first serve basis. All housing arrangements are made through the registration process with your application. There is not a separate meal ticket without a room reservation. Because of the intensity of classroom time, participants are encouraged to stay on site. Meals will be served buffet style in the onsite cafeteria.  Check-out for all participants is required before noon on August 1. Anyone failing to check-out prior to noon on August 1 will be responsible for any late fees incurred.
 
Commuters

Meals will be available for purchase at offsite restaurants.

Parking

Parking options will be available for commuters and those staying on site. Registrants will be required to pay a fee to purchase a parking pass upon registration.
 
General Packet Pickup and Room Check-in

Upon arrival, there will be signage directing participants where to park or be dropped off. Room check-in is part of the general packet pick-up that takes place on July 28 from 3:00-5:00pm.  No early check in or late checkout of rooms will be permitted.  Please keep this in mind when booking your air travel.
 
Linens
Linens will be provided. Bringing extra towels is recommended. Participants must provide their own toiletries.

Room Key deposit

A $25 deposit will be required.  This will be refunded unless a key is lost.

Internet Access

Both wired and wireless internet access is available for all participants at a minimal fee. Participants will be able to pay for access on site.  To use the wired access, you will need to supply your own Ethernet cable.

  • Your 2013 Membership number and password
  • Level 1 completion year and site
  • An electronic resume or curriculum vitae to upload
  • A brief one page statement of why you wish to attend the Level 2-Youth Specialization School
  • Three names and e-mail addresses for references
