Mad City 100K to Host the 2007 USA 100 km Championship

MUT has approved the bid of the Mad City 100K to be the 2007 National Championship 100-Kilometer Road Race.  The Mad City 100K will take place in Madison, Wisconsin, on Saturday, April 7, 2007. The race will consist of 10 laps of a 10K loop. The loop is Madison's most popular 10K race course, which takes runners along the shore of Lake Wingra, through scenic neighborhoods, and through the University of Wisconsin Arboretum. The race is open to all runners, however to be eligible for national championship awards and prize money individual runners must be registered members of USATF.  A purse totaling $9,650 will be awarded, with $2,000 to the first place male and female.  At the 2007 USA 100 km Championship, USATF members will compete for prize money in both male and female categories as follows:
