2007 Medical Staff Selection for National Teams

In order to be considered for a medical staff position for a 2007 national team applicants must meet the following qualifications:

National Team Athletic Trainer, Massage Therapist, or Chiropractor Requirements

• Applicants must be a licensed health care provider in the USA
• 5 years experience treating track and field athletes
• Successful completion of the USOC Volunteer Medical Program
• Recommendation from a national team athlete or coach

A letter of interest ,curriculum vitae and recommendations should be sent to the Chair of the Sports Medicine and Science Committee no later than September 1, 2006 in order to be considered for the 2007 season.

Team Physician Requirements

• Applicants must be licensed in the USA and be a practicing sports medicine physician
• 5 years experience treating track and field athletes
• Completion of a fellowship in sports medicine and board certification in sports medicine is preferred
• Successful completion of the USOC Volunteer Medical Program preferred

A letter of interest and curriculum vitae should be sent to the Chair of the Sports Medicine and Science Committee no later than September 1, 2006 in order to be considered for the 2007 season.
