National Team Staff Nominations

USATF is currently accepting nominations for coaching positions for the 2009 National Team staffs. The pool of candidates to be considered for all coaching positions will be nominated from a list of past international team staff members and new nominations solicited from the USATF membership. Individuals who have served as a coach on a national team need not submit a new nomination form unless he/she has additional information they wish to submit.

USATF is also seeking nominations for its Managers Pool Program. Applicants interested in applying for this program must have international travel experience as well as team experience. Managers for international teams are now selected from this pool of managers established by the High Performance Committee. Please use the Managers Pool Application Form to apply for a spot in the Manager's Pool Program.

Selection of the coaching staff for National Teams is subject to the bylaws of USATF.

Selection for inclusion in the Managers Pool Program is a function of the USATF National Office Elite Athlete Department in consultation with the High Performance Division's Executive Committee. In order to be eligible to apply for the Managers Pool, an individual must have served on previous National Team staffs in some capacity (e.g., coach, manager, AAC liaison, athlete) and have the personality and experience that lends itself to international relations and travel. Application does not guarantee placement in the Pool.

The following National Team Staffs will be selected or nominated at the 2007 Annual Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii:

  • 2009 IAAF World Championships in Athletics
  • 2009 Pan American Junior Championships (T&F)
  • 2009 NACAC Senior Championships
  • 2009 DecaNations
