Registration Information

The Advanced Coaching Summits are open to anyone wishing to attend; no previous completion of a USATF Coaching Education program is required. In order for participation in this program to count toward completion of the Level 3 requirements, coaches must have completed at least one area of Level 2. A maximum of 150 participants will be admitted into each Advanced Summit, therefore applicants are encouraged to register early.

All applications must be accompanied by payment in full. USATF accepts checks, money orders and VISA. VISA is the only credit card accepted by USATF. Interested coaches may register for this program until June 23, 2007, however the room and board package will not be available after May 27, 2007.

Level 3 Refund Policy
 

  • Up to 5 weeks prior to the start of the program: Full refund minus $25.00
  • Less than 5 weeks prior to the start of the program:  Tuition refund minus $50.00, no refund of the room and board fees

Speakers

Frans Bosch, the author of Running: Biomechanics and Exercise Physiology in Practice will be the featured speaker at the USATF Advanced Coaching Summit to be held July 1-3 at Loyola University in Chicago. Bosch will make presentations to both the sprints and the jumps group. Additionally, Peter Pratt, the national jumps coach for the Bahamas and Dr. Richard Magill, author of Motor Learning and Control: Concepts and Applications and Calvin Robinson, the Jumps Coach at UTEP will be featured on the program. The Advanced Coaching Summits are being held in conjunction with the USATF Level 2 School.

Lodging

The optional room and board package is NO LONGER available. If you wish to attend, you will need to arrange off-site housing and meals.

Important Information

VERY IMPORTANT -

All participants who will be staying in the dorm will be required to leave a credit card deposit (Visa, MC or Discover) with Loyola.  The university (not USATF) will charge a fee of $50.00 for a lost meal card and $200 for a lost room key.

 
Check in and packet pick up will be held in Simpson Hall which can be located on the map at this site.

For participants to access the internet from their rooms they will need Ethernet cords. You should bring your own Ethernet cord, the university will not supply one. There is  a computer lab available, but we anticipate that it will be very busy.
