Travel Information

Air Travel

There are two airport options:

• The Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport (SHD) is approximately 20 minutes from JMU and is serviced by US Air.
• Washington Dulles International (IAD) is serviced by all major airlines and is approximately 2 hours from JMU.

Ground Transportation

USATF will arrange a shuttle bus from Dulles International for an additional $25 fee each way. The shuttle will depart Dulles at 3:00 p.m. sharp on Saturday, July 22, and the return shuttle will depart JMU for Dulles at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 30. Shuttle service for Alumni arriving on Tuesday, July 25 will be arranged provided a minimum of 20 requests for the service are made. The trip from Dulles to JMU is approximately two hours, so make your flight plans accordingly. Please contact Kelly Cox before Wednesday, July 19 to reserve a seat on the shuttle.

USATF will not provide shuttles from SHD, but taxi service is available.

Parking

Parking will be available on the JMU campus.

Commuting and Classes & Attendance

Classes will be held in various locations in the ISAT/CS & Health & Human Services buildings on the JMU campus. 100% attendance is mandatory at all sessions. Be on time. If commuting, be aware that the Level 2 schedule is rigorous, and a commute of more than 30 minutes/day could turn out to be very taxing.
