$150.00 - Late Registration (received after July 18, 2008 or on-site)

Refund policy: Only 1/2 of the registration fee ($62.50) will be refunded after the registration deadline, and no refund will be given after the start date.

Directions

  • From the North (Raleigh or Virginia): Take I-40 into Wilmington, NC. Upon reaching Wilmington, I-40 ends and becomes College Rd. Continue on College Rd. until you see the University on your left.
  • From the South or West (Myrtle Beach or Charlotte): Take US-76 across the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge into Wilmington, NC. Continue to follow US-76 (Dawson Street) until it merges to the right with Oleander Dr. Continue on Oleander until you come to South College Rd. Turn left (North) on College Rd. Continue on College Rd. until you see the University on your right.
  • From the Wilmington Airport (ILM): Exit the Airport and turn left onto N. 23rd St. Go South on 23rd St. until you reach Martin Luther King Jr. Pkwy (East toward the beaches). Continue East on MLK Jr. Pkwy. until you come to College Rd. Turn right (South) on College Rd. Continue on College Rd. until you see the University on your left.

Instructors

  • Jim Sprecher - Head Coach at UNCW. He has been at UNCW for 12 years and has been coaching at the college level for 21 years. His men's team has won 9 CAA Championships in track & field including three in the last four years. He has coached more than 75 CAA individual champions and garnered 5 CAA Coach-of-the-Year awards. Coach Sprecher is USATF Level 2 certified in the Jumps and Combined Events.
  • Layne Schwier - Assistant Coach at UNCW. He has been at UNCW for five years and coaching track & field/cross country for 11 years. Coach Schwier began his career as a high school coach for two years. At UNCW, he is responsible for both the cross country/distance runners and the throwers. He is USATF Level 2 certified in the Throws, Jumps, Endurance, and Combined Events.
  • Bob Berke - Assistant Coach at UNCW. He has been at UNCW for nine years. He works with the Seahawk pole vaulters. His vaulters have won seven CAA and one IC4A title. Still an active competitor, Coach Berke is a USATF age-group All-American in the pole vault. He is USATF Level 2 certified in the Jumps.
