Directions to Boardman High School

Boardman High School is located at 7777 Glenwood Avenue, Boardman, OH 44512. It can be accessed from Glenwood Avenue or Market Street (Route 7) south of Route 224 and north of the Ohio/Pennsylvania Turnpike. Level One students should use the entrance at DOOR #6 and proceed to the Science Lecture Hall on the buildings 3rd floor.

  • From Columbus: I-71 N to I-76 E to I-80 E to OH-11 S. Take the US-224 exit toward US-62 / POLAND / CANFIELD. Turn Left on 224 for 3.6 miles. Turn Right onto Glenwood. The school is .8 miles down on the left.
  • From Cleveland: Take I-77 S. Merge onto I-480 E via EXIT 156 toward YOUNGSTOWN Merge onto I-80 E via EXIT 42 toward YOUNGSTOWN / TOLEDO (Portions toll). Merge onto I-76 E via the exit on the LEFT (Portions toll). Merge onto OH-7 N / MARKET ST via EXIT 232 toward YOUNGSTOWN Turn LEFT onto NISONGER RD.
  • From Pittsburgh: Take I-79 N. Merge onto I-76 W via EXIT 77 toward YOUNGSTOWN OHIO (Portions toll). Merge onto OH-7 N / MARKET ST via EXIT 232 toward YOUNGSTOWN. Turn LEFT onto NISONGER RD.

Instructors

  • Dave Pavlansky: Pavlansky has been the head boys track and cross country coach at Boardman High School since 1999 and began his career by coaching high school and collegiate football (Miami, OH / Youngstown State). The 2002 OAT & CCC District 1 Boys Track Coach of the Year served as an assistant coach to Ohios Midwest Meet of Champions track team for three years before being named Boys Head Coach in 2005. Dave has completed the USATF Level 2 program in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, Jumps, and Endurance.
  • Matt Lydum: Presently in his second year as the head track coach at Defiance College, Lydum served as the head mens track coach at San Francisco State University for eight years before beginning his doctoral work at the University of Arizona. He was the 1998 NCAA Division II Regional Coach of the Year and has represented the USOC at the International Olympic Academy. Lydum has completed the USATF Level 2 programs in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, Jumps, and Throws. Matt also serves the USATF as a Level 2 instructor.
  • David Bellar: Dave has been the head coach at St. Peter Chanel high school for four years. Coach Bellar started his coaching career as an assistant at Beachwood High School. Bellar is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and has completed the USATF Level 2 program in Sprints/Hurdles/Relays, Jumps, and Endurance.
