David Oliver

David Oliver ran a world-leading time of 12.94 in the 110m hurdles at the Nike Prefontaine Classic. The performance earned Oliver 1,253 points, which solidified his 2011 Outdoor Visa Champion title and $25,000. Oliver swept the 110 m hurdles at both the 2010 and 2011 USA Outdoor Championships.

Carmelita Jeter

Carmelita Jeter ran a world-leading time of 10.70 in the 100m to best the field at the Nike Prefontaine Classic. Jeter’s showing earned 1,243 points and secured the title of 2011 Outdoor Visa Champion along with the $25,000 prize. She also claimed the top finish in her event at the 2011 and 2009 USA Outdoor Championships.

Mike Rodgers

Mike Rodgers ran a world-leading time at the 2011 USA Indoor Championships to capture the Men’s 60m crown in 6.48 seconds. The 2010 Indoor 60m runner-up previously won the event in 2008 and is the reigning World Indoor silver medalist. Rodgers scored 1,220 points en route to earning $25,000 and the title of the 2011 Indoor Visa Champion.

Jenn Suhr

At the 2011 USA Indoor Championships, Suhr topped her own American Record in the pole vault with a mark of 4.86m/15-11.25. Suhr currently holds American Records in both indoors and outdoors and the win marked her 11th national title. The 1,211 points she scored helped her secure the title of the 2011 Indoor Visa Champion and $25,000. Suhr previously was named the 2008 Outdoor Visa Champion.

Bershawn Jackson

2005 World Outdoor Champion Bershawn Jackson lengthened his lead after the final hurdle of the 400m hurdles to beat out Johnny Dutch for a USA Outdoor win, making it his third outdoor title (’03, ’09, ’10).  Jackson’s time of 47.32 bested Drake Stadiums’ previous record of 48.28, set by Iowa State’s Danny Harris in 1986.  The win gave Jackson 1,256 total points to claim the 2010 Outdoor Visa Champion Title and $25,000.

Chaunte Lowe

2010 World Indoor bronze medalist Chaunte Lowe claimed her fourth USA Outdoor title (’06, ’08, ’09, ’10) in the high jump posting an AR of 2.05m/6-8.75.  This bettered her own AR of 2.04m/6-8.5 set on May 30 at Cottbus, Germany.  Lowe also took her try at the long jump, posting a jump of 6.90m/21-8.25, awarding her a runner up finish.  Her finishes brought her point total to 1,248, giving her the 2010 Outdoor Visa Champion Title and $25,000.

Christian Cantwell

Reigning World Indoor and Outdoor champion Christian Cantwell dominated the Visa men's shot put at the 103rd Millrose Games, winning by over a meter in a field that featured four athletes with 15 World and Olympic medals. Cantwell’s throw of 21.95m/72-0.25 not only afforded him gold at Madison Square Garden but also 1,238 points and an unsurpassable mark in the Race for the Visa Championship Title. For his second Indoor Visa Champion crown, Cantwell was rewarded $30,000.

Finishing in second place and third place for the Visa Champion title is Terrence Trammell and Bernard Lagat, respectively. Trammell’s world-leading time (to date) of 7.41 at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships earned him 1,238 points and $15,000 while Lagat’s 5000m American Record of 13:11.50 at the Reebok Boston Indoor Games amounted to 1,219 points and $5,000.

Amber Campbell

2008 Olympian Amber Campbell reached 24.70 meters/81 feet 0.50 and sailed past the field in the women's 20-lb. weight throw at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Earning 1,213 points and her first Visa Champion title, Campbell took home $30,000.

Finishing in second place for the Visa Championship Series title was Carmelita Jeter, who fell just one point short of Campbell's winning tally. Jeter’s world-leading time (to date) of 7.02 in the 60m at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships earned her 1,212 points and $15,000. On the same day, Debbie Dunn earned 1,200 points for her 50.86 time in the 400m, making her  the third place Visa Championship Series finisher and $5,000 award recipient.   

Trammell put the men's Visa Championship and its $25,000 payday out of reach with a near-perfect run in the men's 60m hurdles at the 2009 USA Indoor T&F Championships. Already the Visa points leader with 1,226 points entering the final Visa Championship series competition, Trammell led the race from start to finish, winning in 7.37 seconds to break Reggie Torian's 10-year-old meet record of 7.38. Trammell’s final Visa Champion total was 1,259 points.

Jones became the first back-to-back female Visa Champion by running 7.84 in the Women’s 60m hurdles at the 2009 USA Indoor T&F Championships. Improving her time by four hundredths of a second since her 2008 Indoor Visa Champion winning performance, Jones beat out American record holder Jenn Stucyzynski and Olympian Amber Campbell for the Visa Champion title.  

Phillips' remarkable 8.74 meters/28 feet 8.25 inches long jump at the 2009 Nike Prefontaine Classic placed him permanently atop the leader board for the 2009 Outdoor Visa Champion title. Not only the longest jump in the world since National Track & Field Hall of Famer Mike Powell set the world record in 1991, it also tied him with Larry Myricks and Erick Walder for the eighth-best outdoor mark in history. Phillips won his fifth U.S. men’s long jump title at the 2009 USA Outdoor T&F Championships, scoring a total of 1,290 points to take home the Visa Champion crown.

2008 Olympic gold medalist Dawn Harper won her first national outdoor title and the women's Visa Championship Series crown by running 12.36 in the Nike Women’s 100m Hurdles on the final day of the 2009 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. With a  tailwind of 2.2 meters per second, Harper posted the fourth-fastest time ever by an American under any conditions as well as scored 1,220 points to capture the Visa Champion trophy.   

Amidst his studying for a masters degree and preparing to be a father, Adam Nelson won the shot put at the 2008 AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships with a throw of 21.51m/70’-07. Scoring a total of 1,265 total points, Nelson captured the Visa Champion title.

Demonstrating her astounding foot speed, Lolo Jones won the 60m hurdles at the 2008 AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Finishing in 7.88 seconds, Jones also claimed victory in the race for the Visa Champion with a total of 1,194 points.

Winning his second consecutive Outdoor Visa Champion title, Tyson Gay continued to excite the World in the 2008 Visa Championship Series. Gay started off strongly winning both the 100m and 200m at the Adidas Track Classic. Gay broke the American record in the 100m, running 9.77 seconds. He also ran the fastest wind aided 100m time, running 9.68 seconds. His first place finish at the trials solidified his Visa Champion title and qualified him for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

Jenn Stuczynski started off the season with a bang, jumping 16 feet ¾ inches and setting the American record in the pole vault at the 2008 Adidas Track Classic. Stuczynski further proved her dominance by braking her own American record and jumping 16 feet 1 ¾ inches at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Taking pole-vault to new heights, she earned the Outdoor Visa Champion title and her spot on the 2008 Beijing Olympic Team.

Christian Cantwell, the 2007 #2 world-ranked shot putter with the farthest throw in the world that year, easily won the men's Visa Championship. Cantwell cemented his claim to the Visa Champion title on his first toss of 21.72m/71-3.5 at the 2007 AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championship, earning a total of 1,224 points.

Shalane Flannigan's 3,000m American Record of 8:33.25 at 2007 Reebok Boston Indoor Games stood the test of time. The 2005 USA Outdoor 5,000m champion claimed the title of Visa Champion with a total of 1,243 points.

Gay solidified his status as the world's dominant sprinter by winning the AT&T men's 200 meters in the second-fastest time in history (to date) at the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Gay had led the race for the men's Visa Championship since the first meet and maintained his lead throughout the season, earning a total of 1,288 points.

Two years after giving birth to a daughter, Tiffany Williams put her name atop the 2007 women's 400m hurdles world list. At the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, she lead the race from early on and won in a personal-best time of 53.28. Williams' performance was worth 1,227 points, naming her the Visa Champion.

Hurdler Terrence Trammell's world-leading time (to date) in the men's 60-meter hurdles gave him the men's Visa Championship over shot putter Reese Hoffa, the series-long leader. Trammell ran the 60m hurdles in 7.46 to clench the Visa Champion title by six points and a total of 1,223.

The lead changed hands midway through the day, but in the end, sprinter Lisa Barber came back to win the women's Visa Championship at the AT&T USA Indoor Track & Field Championships. Running the 60m in 7.06, Barber earned 1,212 points and overcame Sanya Richards’ total of 1,210 points.

Taking his second consecutive Outdoor Visa Champion title, Clement ran a world-leading time (to date) of 47.39 in the 400m hurdles at the 2006 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His 1,253 point total gave him victory (by 10 points) over Adam Nelson in the fight for Visa Champion.

Not only did Demus set a personal best with her world-leading time (to date) of 53.07 in the 400m hurdles at the 2006 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, she also won the $100,000 first prize in the Visa Championship Series. Demus earned a total of 1,234 points.

John, a three-time world outdoor champion and two-time Olympic medalist, secured his Visa Championship with a 21.83m shot put throw at the Indoor Championships. The throw, a meet record, earned Godina 1,230 points on the IAAF scoring table.

Angela, a 28 year-old sprinter with just one professional victory to her credit, came out of nowhere to claim the women's Visa Championship at the Indoor finale. Her world record-tying time of 7.09 seconds gave her 1,203 points putting her just ahead of thrower Erin Gilreath and sprinter Danielle Carruthers.

Kerron took the outdoor season's men's Visa Champion title in impressive style, beating out Justin Gatlin who boasted a duel win of the 100 and 200 meters at the Outdoor Championships in addition to a fine performance at the Nike Prefontaine Classic. Kerron's 400m hurdle time of 47.24 (a personal best) earned him 1261 points and a narrow victory over Gatlin and John Godina at 1253.

Sanya Richards 400m time of 49.28 made her the third fastest American of all time. The Championship-record time gave Sanya 1226 points. Richards run broke a record held since 1997 by Jearl Miles-Clark.
