2010 IAAF World Junior Championships

The Moncton 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships, being held July 19th to 25th, will be the largest sporting event ever held in Atlantic Canada. The event will be seen by millions of viewers, with coverage extending to 170 countries around the world. Moreover, hundreds of provincial, national and international media are expected to be in Moncton to cover the competition.
The Championships will include 44 medal events over six days of competition. The event will also include spectacular opening and closing ceremonies, featuring hundreds of local performers.
The competition will be held at a new world-class stadium on the campus of the Université de Moncton, which is being built especially for the event. The multi-purpose stadium will be the biggest in Atlantic Canada, with seating for 10,000 spectators.
