Parking

Parking at the race site (Agriculture Farm Park) is severely limited. Parking will be strictly controlled with both police and volunteer traffic marshals. To accommodate both the runners and spectators all participants will be bused in either from the Rio complex on the west side of I-270 in Gaithersburg (where many of the runners will be staying at the hotels there), or from the nearly unlimited parking at the Shady Grove Metro complex at Redland Road and 355. Buses will both depart and arrive at a 5 to 10 minute interval in the east side parking lot of Shady Grove Metro. The distance from Shady Grove Metro to the Agriculture Farm Park along Redland Road is approximately 3.5 miles. Buses will depart the Rio hotel complex every 15 minutes for the 6 mile trip from there to the race venue. Buses will run from both locations from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday February 7th. Transportation will be free to all runners. Using the Metro rail Red Line is a good way to reach Shady Grove Metro where the buses will be waiting in the east parking lot to transport you to the race site.
