During early December, Northern Nevada may have snow in the surrounding mountains but little, if any, on the valley floor of the Reno-Sparks area. Temperatures range from a high of 48 degrees to a low of 21. There can be plenty of sunshine, so bring your sun block and use it. When Reno hosted the national races in 1988, 1994, and 2000, it was sunny and 55 degrees, perfect weather for running.

Inclement Weather Plan

There is currently a 1 hour delay in the schedule.

The following avenues will be used to communicate any changes to the meet schedule due to inclement weather:

1. Participants may call (317) 713-4679 to receive event updates.
2. The USATF event website will be continually updated.
3. During registration, all athletes, coaches, and parents will be given the contingency parking plan along with any weather related changes to the event schedule.
4. Any additional changes will be communicated during the Opening Ceremonies.
5. USATF host hotels will also receive additional contingency plan information to share with event guests.
