On winning the men’s 200M:
“That’s the fastest my body has ever moved in its lifetime, so I’m happy with that.”
 
On his race strategy:
“It was pretty controlled. I’ve been practicing driving through the first 120 (meters) and letting my body carry me the rest of the way. I’ve been pretty doubtful about doing that in my previous races but I decided ‘what do I have to lose?’ I hate to admit it but it works.”
 
On what his win means:
“I feel like I’m blessed. I still wake up every morning and go to practice. For me to still be able to come out here to these championships and run around with these younger guys, I just feel blessed. At my age, I know a lot of people that I came into the sport with are gone, they’re not in it any more. So I just feel blessed to still be able to beat some younger guys.”
