National Team Processing

ATHLETES MUST BRING PASSPORTS!

The 2009 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will serve as the selection meet for the international competitions listed below for Open athletes. All athletes are required to complete team sign-up in order to be eligible for 2009 USA National Teams. Those who do not complete team sign-up by 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28 will forfeit their rank for selection to national teams for the 2009 season.

The following teams will draw their rosters from finish order at the Outdoor Championships:

• 2009 IAAF World Championships in Athletics (August 15 - 23) – Berlin, Germany
• 2009 Thorpe Cup - USA vs. Germany Decathlon & Heptathlon (August 8-9) - Marburg, Germany

Athletes should bring the following to team processing:

• Travel and competition plans for the summer
• Valid U.S. passport*
• Necessary information to complete forms (contact information for agents, coaches, etc.)

The first six (6) places in all track and field finals should complete paperwork at Team Processing. All finalists in the 100m, 200m, and 400m should also complete the team sign-up process in order to be eligible for the national team relay pools.

Reminder: without exception, those not completing team processing will not be eligible for 2009 outdoor national teams.

Team Processing Schedule

Team Processing is located west of Hayward Field in the Student Recreation Center.  The entrance is across from Track Town Plaza on the field level.  Athletes must complete team processing on the day of their finals. We strongly suggest coming to the team sign-up room immediately after drug testing.

Please schedule at least 30 minutes for Team Processing when making your travel arrangements.

Personal coaches who wish to apply for a World Championship housing/credential package must accompany their athlete to team sign-up to complete an application.  Coaches will need tentative travel dates to complete the application.
