Housing Information

Note the deadline for dormitory housing is Thursday, June 18 at 5:00 pm PT.

Junior athletes have a number of housing options in the Eugene area. These hotel options are in a variety of price ranges and include different features. Some hotels are close to Hayward Field (the competition track). Others have access to an event shuttle that serves Hayward Field. No single hotel has been designated as an athlete hotel – you can stay in a hotel of your choosing, based on your needs, and your support personnel and family and friends can stay in the same hotel. Room reservations based on availability. Please confirm cancellation policy with the hotel when you make your reservation.

In addition the various hotel options, the event organizers have arranged dorm-style housing for athletes competing in the 2009 USA Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The designated dormitory is located across the street from Hayward Field and includes a full meal plan. Please visit the Juniors Housing web page for more information.

Event Shuttle

Three different shuttle routes will provide transportation from hotel properties to Hayward Field, beginning Tuesday, June 23rd through Sunday, June 28.  Shuttle hours will vary by day but will generally run throughout the competition times each day.   A fourth route will serve the practice facility.
  1. A shuttle loop will run from the Valley River Inn to Hayward Field.
  2. A shuttle loop will run from the Hilton, with Franklin Boulevard stops at the Phoenix Inn and the Market of Choice (across from the Holiday Inn Express) to Hayward Field.
  3. A shuttle loop will run from the Gateway properties, starting at the Courtyard by Marriott to Hayward Field.
  4. A shuttle loop will run from Hayward Field to the practice facility at South Eugene High School.

Parking at Hayward Field

Those staying at hotels not served by the event shuttle and outside of walking distance should consider rental cars for transportation between their hotel and Hayward Field. Parking within proximity to Hayward Field is limited.  There will be a number of parking spaces within walking distance to Hayward Field set aside for credentialed athletes and athlete support personnel.
