Masters Invitational Program - USA Outdoor T&F Championships Entry Information
Men and women age 40 and up who are U.S. citizens may apply to compete in the
masters men's 1500m or masters women's 400m as part of the USATF
Masters Invitational Program.
You must be a 2009 USATF member to compete in the meet.
If you do not have a 2009 membership, please complete a membership
application first. You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the qualifying
standards. No more than two athletes from any one club will be selected.
Qualifying Standards
To apply for entry into masters invitational events, you must have met the
following standards during the 2008 or 2009 seasons.

* Up to two (2) alternates will also be selected for each event; in the men's
400m no more than two (2) athletes can represent the same club; in the women's
1500m no more than three (3) athletes can represent the same club.
Application Deadline and Entry Fee
The application deadline is June 13, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. PT. The
entry fee is $25 (athletes not selected to compete will be refunded 50% of the
fee).
Application Process
- Athletes interested in competing must submit an entry with the $25 entry
fee before the entry deadline (June 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT).
- Completion of an Application Form does NOT mean an athlete is
entered in the meet. USATF will review the entries and, based on qualifying marks
in rank order, select the athletes who may compete in the invitational
events
- Athletes not selected to compete will be refunded 50% of the entry fee.
- Athletes do not need to declare themselves through the elite
athlete process.
- There will be no travel money available to athletes for this event.

If you think you have a strong possibility of making the field, you should
consider reserving a hotel room early, as the USATF room block fills quickly.
