Thursday 7:00 pm - Westin Grand Virginia Beach is excited and honored to be hosting the USATF Annual Meeting in 2010 and what a better way to get ready by attending a “Beach Party" Join our 2010 Annual Meeting Hosts for a fun opportunity to socialize with other meeting goers and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks. Friday 8:00-10:00 am - Capitol Ballroom, Westin Listen to the sounds of the Herron High School, a public charter school in downtown Indianapolis, as their choir sings Holiday Carols for the first hour. Be sure to mark your Annual Meeting to-do list with a visit to the High Performance Expo Presented by St. Vincent. Friday morning is the perfect time to stop by the expo and get your morning energy while you meet the organizations that may have exactly what your next track and field event needs. Alumni Fun Run Friday 7:00 am - leave from Westin Lobby Lace up your shoes for a chance to get in your run while you reconnect with old friends. Meet in the Westin Lobby at 7:00 am, the group will then embark on a casual run through the streets of Indianapolis. Your $5 donation helps fund future USATF Alumni Events. Officials Banquet Friday 7:00-11:00 pm - Westin Grand While the athletes shine on the track, the officials are the stars behind the scenes. Join the Officials Committee for a dinner recognizing the hard work and dedication of USATF's top officials. Conducting a Safe Event: Minimizing Mishaps, Injures and Lawsuits Friday 2:30 - 5:20 pm - Westin This free seminar is open to all Annual Meeting Attendees, as well as community members, coaches and event directors. Join us for an educational afternoon that you cannot afford to miss. This seminar will be led by risk management expert Mike Price of Entertainment and Sports Insurance Experts (ESIX) and will cover areas such as risk avoidance, risk transfer, risk acceptance, and insurance coverage options. A dynamic exchange of information, insights and ideas among the presenters and participants is expected. Awards Breakfast Saturday 7:00 am - Westin Grand Join us for a free breakfast buffet for all annual meeting attendees. Each committee will honor athletes and committee members for their dedication in making this a sport of Historic Performances. Come support the best of our sport, and who knows, you may be taking home an award of your own.
Reception: Saturday 6:30 pm - Hyatt Ballroom Don't miss USATF's annual gala to celebrate the best of The Sport of Historic Performances. The evening starts with a reception, features a seated dinner and culminates with the presentation of USATF's most prestigious awards. The Jesse Owens Award is presented to the top male and female athletes of the year as voted on by members of the media and for the first time ever were also voted on by fans. Finally, recognizing our stars of the past and their historic performances, the 2009 class of the USATF Hall of Fame will be inducted. An autograph session with the Jesse Owens athletes and Hall of Famers is to follow. Please note that tickets are required for the Jesse Owens/Hall of Fame Banquet. Tickets are available for purchase during the registration process and on-site. You may purchase seats individually for $60, or by table (10 seats) for $600.

Shuttle service will be available from the Hyatt to the USATF Warehouse - only a short 10 minute ride. Attendees who are interested may sign up in the Hyatt lobby. Only VISA and cash are accepted at this event. The shuttle will leave hourly at half past the hour from the Hyatt lobby. Samaritan's Feet USA Track & Field has partnered with Samaritan’s Feet to collect and deliver shoes to impoverished children by utilizing the excitement of track and field, while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Samaritan’s Feet,
is a humanitarian relief organization that puts shoes on kids feet all around
the world. Its team of ambassadors demonstrates servant leadership by washing
the feet of all the people receiving the shoes and share with each recipient a
message of hope. There are over 300 million children who wake up every morning
without shoes. They suffer from diseases, infection and many other ailments
because they don’t have shoes to wear. Samaritan’s Feet was formed in 2003 and
six years later more than 2.5 million pairs of shoes have been donated to
children in Africa, South America, the Caribbean and the U.S.
On Display in the Expo Thursday and Friday and near Registration on Saturday, closes at 12:00 pm on Saturday Commemorate the Sport of Historic Performance theme by taking home an original piece of artwork and giving back to the community. Local students from Herron High School, a public charter school in downtown Indianapolis, were commissioned to create works of art that capture their unique perspectives on motion, running and the sport of track and field. Help fund the school’s curriculum around art history and literature by bidding on their authentic work. All proceeds, less shipping costs, will benefit Herron High School.
