Team Scoring

Eligibility for Team Championships

1. Only current USATF member clubs may score in the team championship. All athletes entering as part of a club must be affiliated with that club as part of their USATF membership (an athlete's current affiliation can be viewed in his/her membership profile and as part of the online entry process).

2. In Long Distance Running, an athlete who is a non-resident member of an Association is eligible to compete for a team in that Association only if the athlete: (a) resides in an adjoining Association and the Association of residence does not offer the program, or (b) neither the Association of residence nor any Association adjoining the Association of residence offers the program. NOTE: An athlete with historical membership (at least 3 continuous USATF membership years) in a club is eligible to compete for that club.

Team Composition & Scoring

The team score will be determined by the aggregate time of the scoring members. The team with the lowest aggregate time is the team winner.

Men's and women's masters team divisions are in 10-year increments.

Men's 40+ and 50+ will score 5 members; men's 60+, and 70+ and all women's teams will score 3 members.

Team members must be listed as part of the team's entry to be eligible to score for the team. A final team declaration may be submitted in person to the USATF representative at packet pickup no later then 6:30 p.m. ET, April 25, 2008.
