Masters Application Information

Men and women age 40 and up who are U.S. citizens may apply to compete in the masters men's 60m or masters women's 400m as part of the USATF Masters Invitational Program.

You must be a 2008 USATF member to compete in the meet.  If you do not have a 2008 membership, please complete a membership application first.  You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the qualifying standards. No more than two athletes from any one club will be selected.

Qualifying Standards

To apply for entry into masters invitational events, you must have met the following standards during the 2007 or 2008 seasons.

* Up to three alternates will also be selected.

Application Deadline and Entry Fee

The application deadline is February 8, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. PT. If selected (see the "Process" below), you must pay the entry fee of $25, by check or money order, prior to February 8, 2008 (see "Payment" below).

Application Process

• Athletes interested in competing must submit an Application Form before the entry deadline.
• Completion of an Application Form does NOT mean an athlete is entered in the meet.
• USATF will review the Application Forms and, based on qualifying marks in rank order, select the athletes who may compete in the invitational events
• Athletes will be notified of their selection and will be expected to pay their entry fee at packet pick-up.
• Athletes will be notified of their selection and will be expected to pay their entry fee prior to February 8, 2008 (see "Payment" below)
• Athletes do not need to declare themselves through the elite athlete process.
• There will be no travel money available to athletes for this event.
