Entry Information
You must be a 2008 USATF member to enter the Olympic Trials.
If you do not have a 2008 membership, please complete a membership
application first. You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the eligibility
requirements and qualifying
standards.
Separate entry information is available for the Masters
Invitational events.

The entry fee for the Olympic Trials is $25 per athlete. There is no
late entry period (see entry appeals process below). All fees are non-transferable
and non-refundable.
Entry Forms
Online entries must be paid for by credit card ("Visa, the only card
accepted by USATF") or electronic funds transfer ("electronic
check").
Entry Process
- Online entry is the only method of entry. No other form of entry will be
accepted.
- A 2008 USATF membership is required to enter (please join
online if you are not a member).
- To enter online, you will be required to provide your 2008 USATF
membership number and password (click here to retrieve
your password if you don't know it).
- Athletes will receive a confirmation page at the end of the entry process;
please print a copy of the entry confirmation as proof of entry.
- A Help Line is available for those who need help with the entry process.

a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
- For entries close to the deadlines: although we will make
every reasonable effort, we cannot guarantee responses to requests for passwords.

Entry Appeals Process
- There is no late entry period. An appeals process will be
available for those athletes who wish to make an appeal after the entry
deadline. Appeals must be made on or before June 20, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.
ET.
- Appeals may be filed by calling 317-713-4689 during normal business
hours, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday - Friday. However, please note
that submission of an appeal does not guarantee entry into the
Olympic Trials. Results of appeals will show on the Status
of Entries page. No other notice will be given.
- Appeals must be accompanied by a non-refundable $250 appeals fee,
payable by credit card only. "Visa, the only card accepted by
USATF."
Declarations Information
Declaration Deadlines and Fees
A rolling declarations process will be used. An athlete must declare entry
into an event no later than 11:59 p.m. ET, two days prior to the first round of
that event.
There is no late declaration period (see declaration appeals process below).

Declaration Process
Once properly entered, all athletes must complete the declaration process.
This process confirms your intention to compete in the Olympic Trials and allows
you to update your qualifying mark, which ensures your meet eligibility and
provides for accurate seeding.
- Online is the only method of declaration. No other form of declaration
will be accepted.
- A rolling declarations process will be used. An athlete must declare
entry into an event no later than 11:59 p.m. ET, two days prior to the first
round of that event.
- Declarations will be accepted per the rolling declaration schedule
beginning on June 18, 2008 at 12:01 a.m. ET. There is no late declaration
period (see declarations appeal process).
- Athletes may declare at any time within the declaration period but no
later than the declaration deadline for their event.
- Each athlete or his representative must declare whether that athlete will
or will not compete. The person declaring may submit any corrected or
improved mark.
- Athletes not declaring by the event declaration deadline will be scratched.
- To declare online, you will be required to provide your 2008 USATF
membership number and password (click here to retrieve
your password if you don't know it).

Declaration Appeals Process
- No late declarations will be accepted. An appeals process will be
available for those athletes who wish to declare after the close of
declarations for their event. Appeals must be made on or before 12:00 noon
PT on the day after declarations close for the event in question (note that
Pacific Times are used here due to the location of the Appeals Team).
- Appeals for late declaration will be accepted from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00
noon PT on the day after declarations close for the event in question.
- Appeals may be filed by calling 317-713-4657. However, please note that submission
of an appeal does not guarantee acceptance into the Olympic Trials.
Results of appeals will show on the Status
of Entries page. No other notice will be given.
