The Sheraton Boston Hotel will serve as the athletes' hotel, but please do not contact the hotel directly to make your reservation. Reservations per the information listed below must be made through the submission of the online housing form.

Most pre-race and post-race activities will take place at the Sheraton Boston. The hotel is located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood and is less than a quarter mile from the race start and a half mile from the race finish area.

The reservation deadline for Trials participants and others for whom this information is applicable (see below for details) is February 1, 2008.

Room Rates

For "A"-qualified athletes:

All room and tax charges will be paid for by the Boston Athletic Association for up to three nights in a single-occupancy room. Additional nights are available at a rate of $199 per night (tax is an additional 12.45%), paid for by the athlete.

"B"-qualified athletes:

Single-occupancy room are available at a rate of $199 per night (tax is an additional 12.45%) for up to three nights, reserved by and paid for by the athlete.

Cancellation Policy

There will be no penalty if room reservations are cancelled before March 21, 2008. A credit card must be used to guarantee room reservations, but it will not be charged unless there is a cancellation charge incurred (see below). Cancellations made between March 21 and April 8 will incur a $50 penalty, applied to the credit card provided. Cancellations made after April 8 will incur a penalty charge of one night's stay, applied to the credit card provided. Each Trials qualifier can reserve one additional room at $199 (tax is an additional 12.45%), and a minimum stay of two nights is required. A credit card is required of all athletes and guests upon arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Meals

A per diem of $40 for a maximum of three days will be provided to "A"-qualified athletes. In addition, the Local Organizing Committee will provide the following complimentary meals and food service to all athletes, according to the schedule listed below:

Thursday, April 17

  • Afternoon snacks (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.) +

Friday, April 18

  • Light breakfast (7:00 to 10:00 a.m.) +
  • Light lunch (Noon to 1:30 p.m.) +
  • In addition: light hors d'oeuvres will be served at the Friday evening "Welcome Reception" (begins at 6:00 p.m.)*

Saturday, April 19

  • Full brunch (9:00 to 1:00 p.m.) +
  • Pre-race dinner (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.) *

Sunday, April 20

  • Continental breakfast (5:00 to 7:15 a.m.) +
  • Awards Luncheon (2:00 p.m.) *

Monday, April 21

  • Light breakfast (7:00 to 10:00 a.m.) +

The Sheraton Boston is conveniently located to the adjoining Prudential Center (shopping mall), which includes a food court and leads to a full-service food supermarket. Additionally, many restaurants and quick-service opportunities are within walking distance of the Sheraton.
