Selection Procedures
- The 2008 NACAC Under-23 team will be chosen based upon the June 5, 2008
USATF performance rank order list for all age-eligible athletes.
- Based on NACAC regulations, age-eligible athletes must be 20, 21, or 22
by December 31, 2008 (born in 1986, 1987, or 1988).
- While it is expected that most of the qualifying U.S. athletes will be
collegiate athletes, open athletes who are age-eligible (20, 21, or 22)
could also be selected.
- Athletes must have a valid U.S. passport at the time of being confirmed
for the team.
- Two athletes per event will be eligible to compete on the NACAC Under-23
Team provided they meet the NACAC Under-23 qualifying standards.
- Beginning June 5, USATF will be contacting college
coaches, agents, or athletes to determine their eligibility and interest
in being a member of the team.
- Coaches or athletes may contact USATF at either 317-713-4673 or 317-713-4669 to provide information and/or
sign up for the
team.
