Host City and Climate

Cheboksary is the capital of the Chuvash Republic. It is located on the banks of the Volga river approximately 600 km south of Moscow. Cheboksary, founded in 1469, has a population of 458,000. There are many historical places, including the beautiful Trotsky Cathedral (16th Century).

The climate at the time of the Championships is rather humid, with an average temperature from 15-20 °C and average humidity of 50-80%; rain (precipitation) is possible.
