Timing & Exchange Zones

All relay team members are required to pick up their bib number and packet at the 2-day expo at the Convention Center.

The Team Captain will also pick up five (5) ChampionChip timing chips and zip-ties (which will be placed in one of the chip envelopes). Each athlete must wear one chip and must turn it in at the finish line after being transported or arriving at same. Each athlete must cross over the timing mats at the exchange zone (or the 5th athlete at the finish line).

The athlete must slap hands with the next athlete leg prior to exiting the exchange zone. USATF officials will be monitoring each exchange zone. Failure to do the hand slap within the exchange zone will result in immediate disqualification.
