SWEEPSTAKES SPONSOR: This Sweepstakes is sponsored
and administered by USA Track & Field, Inc., One RCA
Dome, Suite 140, Indianapolis, Indiana 46225 (“USATF”).
2.
ELIGIBILITY: The “Visa® Championship Series” Online
Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to all legal
residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District
of Columbia, eighteen (18) years of age and older as of January
1, 2006. Employees of USA Track & Field, Inc., VISA, Visa
International Service Association, their respective Member
financial institutions, and employees of same, and each of
the respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, prize
suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies of Sponsors
and Prize Providers, and the immediate families (spouse, and
parents, children and siblings, and their respective spouses)
and individuals living in the households of each of these individuals,
whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win a
prize. This Sweepstakes is void where prohibited or restricted
by law, and is subject to all applicable federal, state, and
local laws and regulations.
BY ENTERING THIS SWEEPSTAKES YOU ARE AGREEING
TO ALL THE TERMS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, INCLUDING ARBITRATION
OF
CLAIMS AGAINST USA TRACK & FIELD, IN INDIANA. IF YOU DISAGREE
WITH THE TERMS OF THESE RULES, DO NOT SUBMIT AN ONLINE OR MAIL
ENTRY FOR THIS SWEEPSTAKES. RECEIPT OF YOUR SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY IS
EVIDENCE OF YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ALL THE TERMS OF THESE OFFICIAL
SWEEPSTAKES RULES.
3. HOW
TO ENTER: Weekly Prize: The Sweepstakes
begins 12:00AM Eastern Time (“ET") on May 16, 2006 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET
June 20, 2006 (“Weekly
Prize Promotional Period"). During the Promotional Period,
there are two (2) ways to enter: 1) Each week, go to www.VisaChampionshipSeries.com,
complete the official registration form in its entirety,
select who you think will be the leading the race for the
Visa Female Outdoor Champion and/or the Visa Male OutdoorChampion
(each, a “Visa Championship Series category”)
each week and click “submit. Online entries must be
received by 11:59:59 PM ET May 20 (Week One), May 27 (Week
2), June 2 (Week 3) and June 20, 2006 (Week 4) (“Online Deadline”)
to be eligible for the applicable weekly Visa Championship
Series category drawing (see paragraph 4 regarding Drawings).
Entries from prior weeks will not be valid for use in future
drawings. 2) Submit a 3 _ x 5 index card (alternate size
cards or paper will not be accepted) with your selection
who you think will be the leading the race for the Visa Female
Outdoor Champion and/or the Visa Male Outdoor Champion (each,
a “Visa Championship Series category”) selection
written or typed on it, as well as your name, legal residence
address, telephone number (including area code), and an e-mail
address (optional) and send via regular US mail to: VISA
Championship Series WEEKLY Consumer Promotion, c/o USA Track & Field,
Inc., One RCA Dome, Suite 140, Indianapolis, IN 46225. You
must submit two separate index cards to vote for both the
Visa Male Outdoor Leader and the Visa Female Outdoor Leader.
Entries must include your selection for the Visa Female
Outdoor
Leader or the Visa Male Outdoor Leader (limit one (1) Visa
Championship Series category selection per index card). Incomplete,
defective or illegible entries will be disqualified. Entries
received via mail must be postmarked by May 20, 2006
and received by May 22, 2006 (Week One), by May 27, 2006 and received by
may 29, 2006 (Week 2) and by June 3, 2006 and received by June 5,
2006 (Week 3) (“Mail Deadline”). All entries become the
property of Sponsors and will not be returned. If you choose
to submit an entry by mail for both Visa Championship Series
categories, each entry must be mailed separately. Only eligible
entries received by the Online Deadline or Mail Deadline
and which correctly select either the Visa Female Outdoor
Leader or the Visa Male Outdoor Leader (as applicable), as
determined by Sponsors (“Eligible Entries”),
will be eligible for the applicable Visa Championship Series
category drawing. Limit one (1) entry per person/email address/household
for each Visa Championship Series category, regardless of
method of entry. In the event that multiple Eligible Entries
are received from one individual, email address or household,
only the last Eligible Entry received and bearing the most
recent date by the Online Deadline or Mail Deadline, will
be included in the applicable Visa Championship Series category
drawing.
Grand Prize: The Sweepstakes begins
12:00AM Eastern Time (“ET") on June 4, 2006 and
ends at 11:59:59 PM ET June 20, 2006 ("Grand Prize Promotional
Period"). During the Promotional Period, there are two (2)
ways to enter: 1) Go to www.VisaChampionshipSeries.com, complete the official
registration form in its entirety, select who you think will be
the Visa Female Outdoor Champion and/or the Visa Male Outdoor Champion
(each, a “Visa Championship Series category”) and click “submit.” You
must submit two separate entries to vote for both the Visa Male
Outdoor Champion and the Visa Female Outdoor Champion. Online entries
must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET June 21, 2006 (“Online
Deadline”) to be eligible for the applicable Visa Championship
Series category drawing. 2) Submit a 3 _ x 5 index card (alternate
size cards or paper will not be accepted) with your Visa Female
Outdoor Champion or Visa Male Outdoor Champion selection written
or typed on it, as well as your name, legal residence address,
telephone number (including area code), and an e-mail address (optional)
and send via regular US mail to: VISA Championship Series Consumer

140, Indianapolis, IN 46225. You must submit two separate index
cards to vote for both the Visa Male Outdoor Champion and the Visa
Female Outdoor Champion. Entries must include your selection for
the Visa Female Outdoor Champion or the Visa Male Outdoor Champion
(limit one (1) Visa Championship Series category selection per
index card). Incomplete, defective or illegible entries will be
disqualified. Entries received via mail must be postmarked by June
20, 2006 and received by June 23, 2006 (“Mail Deadline”).
All entries become the property of Sponsors and will not be returned.

correctly select either the Visa Female Outdoor Champion or the

per person/email address/household for each Visa Championship Series
category, regardless of method of entry. In the event that multiple
Eligible Entries are received from one individual, email address
or household, only the last Eligible Entry received and bearing
the most recent date by the Online Deadline or Mail Deadline, will
be included in the applicable Visa Championship Series category
drawing.
4.
DRAWINGS: Potential Weekly Prize Winners will
be selected on or about May 24, 2006, May 31, 2006, and
June 7, 2006 in a random drawing
under the supervision of USATF from among all Eligible
Entries received by the Online Deadline and Mail Deadline,
for each VISA Championships Series category. One (1)
potential Weekly Prize winner (as defined in paragraph
6 below) from each VISA Championship Series category
will be selected each of the three weeks listed above.
Limit one (1) prize per person or household. Eligible
Entries from one VISA Championship Series category
drawing will not roll-over into the other VISA Championship
Series category drawing.
Grand Prize Winners: Potential Grand
Prize Winners will be selected on or about June 28, 2006 in a
random drawing under the supervision of USATF from among all Eligible
Entries received by the Online Deadline and Mail Deadline, for
each VISA Championships Series category. One (1) potential Grand
Prize winner (as defined in paragraph 6 below) from each VISA Championship
Series category will be selected. Limit one (1) prize per person
or household. Eligible Entries from one VISA Championship Series
category drawing will not roll-over into the other VISA Championship
Series category drawing.
5.
ODDS: The actual odds of winning a Grand Prize
or a Weekly Prize will depend upon the total number
of Eligible Entries received for the applicable Visa
Championship Series category drawing.
6. SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES: There
will be Six (6) Weekly Prizes (one (1) per category): In addition to
the Two (2) Grand Prizes awarded, six (6) Weekly Prizes of two
hundred and fifty dollars ($250) Visa gift card and a Nike gift
bag containing a Nike/USATF spike bag and cap will be awarded by
USA Track & Field, Inc. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”):
$300.00 each. Weekly Prize winners will be determined by a random
drawing from among all Eligible Entries (excluding the Grand Prize
winners) received by the Online Deadline or Mail Deadline for the
applicable Visa Championship Series category drawing. Weekly Prizes
will be awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee,
either express or implied by Sponsors. No substitutions, cash equivalents,
or transfers of prizes will be permitted except at the sole discretion
of the Sponsors, who reserve the right to substitute a prize (or
portion thereof) with one of comparable or greater value, at their
sole discretion.
Two (2) Grand Prizes (one (1) per category): Each
Grand Prize winner will be awarded five thousand dollars ($5,000)
in the form of a check or a Visa gift card (winner chooses the
form of payment) and Nike gift bag, including but not limited to,
a Nike/USATF duffel bag, t-shirt and cap. Approximate Retail
Value (“ARV”): $5,100 each.
7.
WINNERS NOTIFICATION: The potential Grand
Prize winners will be notified by priority mail
with delivery confirmation and will be required
to complete and sign an Affidavit of Eligibility
and Liability Release, where legal, a Publicity
Release, and IRS Form W-9, all of which must be
returned within 14-days from prize notification
date or the prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors’ discretion,
awarded to an alternate winner. Weekly Prize winners
will receive their prizes via priority mail or
FEDEX delivery 6-8 weeks following verification
of eligibility and compliance with the terms of
these rules. In the event of noncompliance with
these rules or if the prize or prize notification
is unclaimed or returned as undeliverable, the
prize will be forfeited and, at Sponsors’ discretion,
awarded to an alternate winner. If the prize is
won by an eligible individual who is not of the
legal age of majority in the state of residence
(“minor”), the required documents must
be confirmed and signed by winner’s parent
or legal guardian, and the prize will be awarded
in the name of his/her parent or legal guardian
who will be required to fulfill all requirements
imposed on the winners set forth herein. Winners’ travel
companions must be 18 years or older and each will
be required to sign (or, if minors, their parents
or legal guardians) a Liability Release and a Publicity
Release, where legal, prior to issuance of the
travel documents. By entering the Sweepstakes entrants
(or, if minors, their parents or legal guardians)
agree to the use by Sponsors and their designees
of their names, cities and states of residence
and photographs/likenesses for advertising and
promotional purposes for this and similar promotions,
worldwide, and in perpetuity, in any and all forms
of media, now known or hereafter devised (including
and without limitation, the Internet) without additional
compensation, notification or permission, except
where prohibited by law. Upon request, winner agrees
to consent to such in writing
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By participating
in the Sweepstakes, entrants (or, if minors, their parents or legal
guardians) agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless USA Track & Field,
Inc., Visa U.S.A. Inc., Visa International Service Association,
and their respective Member financial institutions, and each of
their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, prize
suppliers, and advertising and promotion agencies of Visa U.S.A.
Inc., and each of their respective agents, representatives, volunteers,
officers, directors, shareholders and employees (collectively, “Releasees”)
from and against any injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions
and any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from participation
in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse
of the prize (including any travel or travel-related activity thereto)
that may be awarded. Entrants (or, if minors, their parents or
legal guardians) agree that the laws of the state of Indiana will
govern any and all disputes involving USATF. Any disputes involving
USATF shall be resolved by arbitration, in the state of Indiana,
pursuant to the Commercial Rules of the American Arbitration Association
then in force. Judgment upon any arbitration award may be entered
in any court of competent jurisdiction. Entrants (or, if minors,
their parents or legal guardians) also agree that the laws of the
state of California will govern any and all disputes regarding
VISA. Releasees are not responsible for computer, technical, printing,
typographical, human or other errors relating to or in connection
with this Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which
may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes,
the announcement of the prizes, the processing of entries or in
any Sweepstakes related materials; or for lost, stolen, late, inaccurate,
delayed, undelivered, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, garbled
or illegible entries or entries that fail to enter into the processing
system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly
or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, paper
transfer, human or other error; or for electronic, computer, or
telephonic malfunction or error, including any injury or damage
to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or
resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or downloading
any materials in this Sweepstakes, or inability to access any web
site associated with this Sweepstakes, or any combination thereof.
In the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users
having the same email account, the authorized subscriber of the
email account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time
of registration will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply
with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is deemed to be
the natural person who is assigned an email address by an Internet
access provider, on-line service provider or other organization,
which is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain
associated with the submitted email address. A potential winner
may be required to provide the Sponsors with proof that the potential
winner is the authorized account subscriber of the e-mail address
associated with the potentially winning entry. If in Sponsors’ opinion,
there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic
tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if computer virus,
bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties
or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration,
integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes,
Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify
any individual who tampers with, or is suspected of tampering with
the entry process and/or void any entries submitted fraudulently,
to modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes
and conduct a random drawing to award the prizes using all non-suspect
Eligible Entries received for the applicable Visa Championship
Series category drawing as of the Online Deadline and Mail Deadline,
unless terminated prior to Online Deadline and/or Mail Deadline
in which case Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a random drawing
to award the prizes using all non-suspect Eligible Entries received
up to such earlier termination date. Any attempts by an individual
to access any web site associated with this Sweepstakes via robotic,
automatic entry devices, programs such as, but not limited to,
by script, macro or any other automated means, or other unauthorized
entry will void all such entries by such methods. Any attempt by
an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web
site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is
a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt
be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek damages and other remedies
from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. As
a condition of entering the Sweepstakes, participant (or, if minors,
their parents or legal guardians) agree that: a.) under no circumstances
will participants be permitted to obtain a judgment or award of,
and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental,
consequential, or any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket
expenses; b.) all causes of action arising out of or connected
with this Sweepstakes, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved
individually, without resort to any form of class action; and c.)
any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual
out-of-pocket costs incurred, but in no event attorneys fees. Sponsors
reserve the right to modify the prize award procedures.
9. WINNERS LIST: For the names of
the winners (available after April 1, 2006), mail a self-addressed,
stamped envelope to: “VISA Championship Series” Online
Sweepstakes Winners (Indoor Season), One RCA Dome, Suite 140, Indianapolis,
Indiana 46225, or access the USATF web site at www.visachampionshipseries.com
to view the VISA Championships Series winners’ list. Requests
must be postmarked no later than August 24, 2006 and received no later
than August 31, 2006, or visit USATF website by 11:59:59 PM on
August 31, 2006. No requests for the winners list will be honored after
August 31, 2006.
