Travel Air Travel New York City is served by LaGuardia Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport. All three airports are located 6-20 miles from Van Cortlandt Park and the headquarters hotel. All major airlines serve the greater New York City area. Ground Transportation Public transportation is recommended whenever possible. Van Cortlandt Park is served by the Metropolitan Transit Authority's #1 subway line and by the BX9 bus line. Due to the scarcity of parking at the headquarters hotel and at Van Cortlandt Park, private automobiles are not recommended. A limited amount of parking will be available at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. New York Road Runners will provide shuttle buses from the headquarters hotel to Van Cortlandt Park on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The buses will run between Van Cortland Park and the Westchester Marriott (Ballroom Entrance). The daily departure schedule is as follows:
Other Transportation Deadline extended to February 14, 2006 New York Road Runners will provide limited transportation for free from JFK International Airport, LaGuardia Airport, and Newark Liberty International Airport to the Westchester Marriott, the host hotel, and back to the airports at the end of the event. Please e-mail your name, flight arrival and departure times (along with the specific airport), airline, and the total number in your party to transportation@nyrr.org by February 14, 2006. Based on the information received by the deadline, NYRR will develop specific transportation times with individual athletes. NYRR can only guarantee transportation to those who provide this itinerary information by the deadline above. There is no official Airport Transportation Schedule.
