Ground Transportation

Shuttles between airport and hotels/dorms: Queen Shuttle Service (Red Vans) will provide transportation from the airport to the four hotels and the dorms.

Pricing for the shuttle service (cash or credit card):

Please pick up your luggage first. Then go to the "Visit Charlotte" Welcome Table located between Zone A & C of the baggage claim area to organize your group of 5 or more people. For return trips to the airport, you must call 704-752-9858 or 980-722-2632 the night before to schedule your group's pick-up. You should arrange for your pick-up from your hotel or dorm to be at least TWO hours before your flight time.

Taxi Service: One-way fares are approximately $35.

Shuttles between hotels/dorms and track: A free shuttle service from the four hotels to the track facility will run each day from Wednesday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.

Rental Cars: Enterprise is offering a discounted rate for USATF Meet Participants and Officials. Compact- $28; Midsize- $30; Standard- $32; Full Size- $34. Driving Directions to UNC Charlotte

From north of Charlotte via I-85: Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd). Merge onto Harris, go 1 mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; go 1/4 mile and turn left across the median to Cameron Blvd., which will take you directly to the track and the dorms.

From north of Charlotte via I-77: Take exit 18 (Harris Blvd). Turn left onto Harris and go 7 miles to the exit for UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; go 1/4 mile and turn left across the median to Cameron Blvd., which will take you directly to the track and the dorms.

From south of Charlotte via I-85: Take exit 45A (Harris Blvd). Turn right onto Harris and go one mile to the exit for UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; go 1/4 mile and turn left across the median to Cameron Blvd., which will take you directly to the track and the dorms.

From south of Charlotte via I-77: Take I-77N to I-85N and follow above directions via I-85.

From east of Charlotte via US 74: Turn right onto Harris Blvd, and travel 9 miles to UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49 exit. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; go 1/4 mile and turn left across the median to Cameron Blvd., which will take you directly to the track and the dorms.

From Concord area via US 29: Turn left onto Harris Blvd and go 1/2 mile to UNC Charlotte\Hwy 49 exit. At bottom of exit ramp, turn left on 49; go 1/4 mile and turn left across the median to Cameron Blvd., which will take you directly to the track and the dorms.

Driving Directions to Witherspoon Hall (On-Campus Housing Registration)

As you enter campus at the Cameron Boulevard entrance, continue on Cameron Boulevard approximately 1.3 miles. In that 1.3 miles, you will pass the Irwin Belk Track Complex (on the left), West Parking deck (on the right), construction for a new parking deck (on the right), and then an entrance to the parking lot for Squires and Cypress Halls. The road curves at that point. Turn right at the road after the Pedestrian Crossing and Caution Hidden Intersection signs. The road is marked by a sign for the Residence Halls – Witherspoon, Pine, Maple, Elm and Oak. The lot immediately to your right is Lot 21, or you may continue and turn right into Lot 20. Both lots serve Witherspoon Hall.

Witherspoon is a light brick building with three wings. The building is accessible from either side; accessibility with no steps is on the Lot 20 side of the building.
