Travel Information

San Diego International Airport (SAN) is home to most major airline carriers. Discount airline Southwest often has round-trip specials in and out of San Diego.

Shuttle Service

Shuttle service is provided by many local area hotels or can be arranged through the San Diego International Airport website. Ground transportation with the help of Olympic Training Center volunteers may also be available--contact meet director Philip Dunn for more information.

Course Location

The race will be held at the Chula Vista Marina (at the intersection of Marina Pkwy. and Sandpiper Way). The course is 10 miles from Lindbergh Field and downtown San Diego.

Directions to the Course

From the Hotel

• Turn left out of parking lot onto Main St.
• Take Main St. about 3 miles to I-5 North.
• Take I-5 North to the J Street/Marina Pkwy. exit.
• Turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp and follow directions to course below.
• The start/finish line is near the corner of Sandpiper and Marina Parkway, near the event parking.

From San Diego and points North

• Take I-5 South past National City.
• Exit J Street/Marina Pkwy.
• Make a right at the bottom of the ramp onto Marina Pkwy.
• BEFORE 7 A.M.: Continue down Marina Pkwy. past "Bob's on the Bay" Restaurant and starting line and park on the right.
• AFTER 7 A.M.: A portion of Marina Pkwy. will be closed as it is the race course. In this case, take 1st right onto Bay Blvd. (follow detour signs)
• Make a left on Lagoon and go to the first stop sign.
• Take a left, then an immediate right onto Marina Pkwy.
• Go 1/4 mile and parking is on the left.
