With regards to the previous qualifying marks, the following technical regulations must be taken into account:

  1. All of the qualifying marks must have been achieved between Jan 1st 2005 and June 15th 2006.
  2. All marks must have been achieved in an official selection meets which conform to IAAF rules.
  3. All the results must have been achieved in a meet organized or supervised by the IAAF, an Area Association, or Member National Federation. Marks achieved in a high school or college meet must be certified by the National Federation of the country in which the meet was organized.
  4. Results achieved in mixed races (male and female participants) held entirely within the stadium will not be accepted.
  5. Results with tailwinds will not be accepted (IAAF Rules).
  6. A member federation can register one athlete without a qualifying mark. However if a member federation wishes to register two athletes in one event, then both athletes must have achieved the qualifying standard.
