Social Highlights This year's Annual Meeting features a formidable lineup of ceremonies, receptions and breakfast activities – most of which are included in your basic registration package. Here's this year's lineup: Thursday Welcome Reception - November 30: Enjoy catching up with USATF friends. Special recognition will be given to those who have attended 25 or more Annual Meetings. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. See below for additional information on the Silent Auction scheduled to take place during the Welcome Reception. Friday Expo Breakfast - December 1: Take the opportunity to meet with our Expo participants, have a bite to eat, and see the latest innovations in our sport. While you're there, don't forget to get your Expo Raffle Card validated at all of the booths and turn it in at the registration counter in order to qualify for fabulous prizes from our various vendors. Saturday Awards Breakfast Buffet - December 2: This breakfast tradition is highlighted by the opportunity to recognize and support those volunteers who are the backbone of our organization. This is a tremendous chance for you to recognize and appreciate your peers. Jesse Owens Awards/Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony – December 2: Tickets for the Jesse Owens/Hall of Fame Award Ceremony and dinner are available at a cost of $50 per person or a table of 10 for $500. Reserve your seats now! Other Activities 50/50 Raffle - The 50/50 raffle has helped to support many of our grass roots programs and initiatives, as well as given the lucky winner a little extra spending money just in time for the Christmas rush. So why not take a chance? It could be your name we draw!! The raffle is open only to registered delegates. Each entry is $25 and proceeds will be evenly distributed between the winning entrant and USATF. The organization's portion is used to support our grass roots and developmental programs. The winner will be announced at the Closing General Session. Silent Auction - In conjunction with the Welcome Reception, we invite you to participate in this year's silent auction to benefit the USATF Foundation and the USATF Athlete Alumni Association. Bidding for auction items will be open from 7:00-9:00 p.m. during the Welcome Reception in the Hyatt Regency Ballroom on Thursday, November 30 (special note: Athlete Alumni Association items will remain open for bidding until 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1). Any sports fan will be delighted by the array of items up for bid. Highlights include Team USA autographed memorabilia, a ticket and hotel package for the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and a Visa gift card package (see below for a complete list of items as of November 22). Catch a preview of the items following the Opening General Session of the Annual Meeting (Wednesday, November 29) in the foyer space of the Westin Grand Ballroom.
Accepted forms of payment include cash, Visa credit cards, and personal checks. All items (except those with Athlete Alumni Association designation) must be claimed by 9:30 p.m. on November 30 or they will go to the next bidder. |
