National Team Processing

Athletes planning to qualify for and attend the 2005 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Saint Galmier, France, on March 19-20 should be available for travel between March 15-21, 2005. All athletes should come to the championships with an U.S. passport valid through March 22, 2005. Juniors must bring a copy of their birth certificate. If you qualify for a team, you will be asked before you leave the Championships to complete all required USA National Team Processing forms.

By no later than February 16, 2005, athletes must state their intent to participate to the team leaders. If no statement of intent is made, then the alternate will be offered the position.

NOTE: The inaugural North America, Central American, & Caribbean (NACAC) Cross Country Championships will be conducted on Saturday, March 6, 2005, at the USA Triathlon National Training Center in Clermont, FL (near Orlando). While the USA national team selection procedures have yet to be finalized, it is likely that most of the Team USA squad will select themselves at the USA Cross Country Championships.
