Eligibility Requirements

• Only citizens of the United States who are eligible to represent the U.S. in all levels of international competition are eligible to be selected to the national team.
• Citizens of other IAAF member nations may compete as guests. All U.S. citizens and resident aliens must be members of USA Track & Field. Non-resident aliens must  be members of their national IAAF Member Federation.
• Open athletes must be 14 years or older on the day of competition. Junior athletes must be 14 years or older on the day of competition and may not become 20 years of age during 2005.
• All athletes must be 2005 members of USATF in good standing. USATF memberships may be purchased online, through your local Association Office, or by calling the USATF National Office at 317-261-0478 x309.
• Athletes must have an updated athlete location form on file with USADA prior to competition if they are in the Out-Of-Competition (OOC) Drug-Testing Pool.
