In his road racing debut, Adam Goucher won the USA Men's 5 km Championship, running 13:47, to outpace Anthony Famiglietti (13:48) and Ryan Shay (13:59). Former Providence College standout, Amy Rudolph narrowly won the USA Women's title in 15:54, with Jennelle Deatherage running the same time to claim 2nd place. Goucher's wife Kara rounded out the top three running 15:58.
