Andrew McDowell (Downingtown, Pa.) and Nikki Kimball (Bozeman, Mont.) captured USA 50 Mile Championship titles on October 15 in Boalsburg, Pa. Their winning times were 6:28:40 and 6:44:20.

McDowell was followed across the line by Mark Godale of Ohio (6:34:13) and Alex Barth of Pennsylvania (7:01:41). Laura Nelson of Virgina ran 7:21:22 and Deborah McCaulley of N.Y. ran 7:53:56 to claim 2nd and 3rd places behind Kimball.

Masters champions included: Bob Pokorny (M40), Kevin Bligan (M45), Roy Pirrung (M55), and Frank Probst (M60).
