Team Clothing and Equipment

During the 10th IAAF World Championships in Athletics, competitors are required to wear the official uniform of their delegation (as registered at the TIC), which must conform to the IAAF Competition Rules 2004-2005 and the current IAAF Advertising Regulations.

U.S. athletes must wear national team uniform clothing during all official functions of the World Championships. This includes, but is not limited to, practice facilities, competition stadium, medal ceremonies, opening/closing ceremonies, press conferences and the athlete seating area at the competition stadium. Fines will be levied on those individuals not complying with the uniform policy.

Spikes

The part of each spike which projects from the sole or the heel shall not exceed 9 mm except in the high jump and javelin throw events where it shall not exceed 12 mm. These spikes shall have a maximum diameter of 4 mm. Spike lengths and diameters will be checked in the Call Room.
