Weather and Course Conditions

Currently (as of 2/5), there are no more than 2 inches of snow on the course. It is granular and crusty with a thin icy crust in places. None of the thin crusty ice atop the snow supports any significant weight, so the footing, while slow, is not dangerous. Grass is exposed on over 30% of the course and protruding from the snow over the remainder of the course. The underlying grass/earth surface is frozen rock-hard throughout most of the course. There are two areas of 10-12 feet in diameter that are wet under the snow. The water/slush is 2 inches in depth in these two areas.

More information will be available at the Technical Meeting Friday evening.
