Team Scoring Open and Junior Divisions Teams are comprised of a minimum of four (4) athletes and a maximum of six (6) athletes. All unattached runners, members of incomplete or ineligible teams, and runners not declared as scoring members will be removed from the order of finish for purposes of team scoring. The aggregate places of each team's first four finishers will determine a team's score, with the fifth and sixth finishers displacing. The team with the lowest score will be the winning team, and ties in scoring will be resolved by determining which team's fourth runner finished nearest to first place. Teams may declare a maximum of six athletes on their roster. Masters Division Team scoring shall be the aggregate time of the scoring members; the lowest time determines the winner. Ties between two or more teams will be resolved by determining which team's last-scoring member finished nearest to first place. If a tie still exists, the next-to-last scoring members are compared in the same way, etc. Men's and women's masters team divisions are in 10-year increments. A runner may compete in a younger division as a team member and still compete as an individual in his/her true age division. Men's 40+ and 50+ will score 5 members; men's 60+, 70+, and all women's teams will score 3 members. All teams may declare a maximum of 8 runners. Team members must be listed on the team entry form. |
