Ground Transportation

Rental cars and vans are recommended. Major rental car chains include: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.

Those participants staying in downtown Portland attending the USATF Annual Meeting may use TriMET MAX Light Rail Red Line service to travel from the airport to downtown hotels and the Yellow Line to travel from downtown to the course (exit the train at the Delta Park/Vanport stop, which is located 300 meters from Portland Meadows).

Information on TriMET MAX Light Rail: MAX Red Line light rail service runs from PDX through downtown Portland to Beaverton every 15 minutes. A one-way trip from the airport to downtown Portland takes 38 minutes and costs $1.60. MAX Red Line makes 10 stops downtown and provides convenient access to area hotels. Purchase tickets from automated ticket machines located in the airport lobby near baggage claim as well as on the MAX station platform.

From Portland International Airport

Exit Airport and go east on Airport Way. Turn right at 82nd Ave. Exit at Columbia Blvd., and turn right onto Columbia. Continue on Columbia for approximately 4.5 miles. Turn right onto Vancouver Ave. Turn right onto Schmeer Rd. You will see the park on your right hand side, the entrance is just before Whitaker Rd.

From Vancouver, Washington

Take I-5 South to Interstate Blvd. / Portland Meadows exit (306). Stay right and follow the ramp to Victory Rd. Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.

From Salem

Take I-5 North to the Portland Meadows Exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.

From Gresham and the Columbia River Gorge

Take I-84 West to I-5 North.Take I-5 North to the Portland Meadows Exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.

From Beaverton and the Oregon Coast

Take Highway 26 East to I-405 North. Take I-405 North to I-5 North. Take I-5 North to the Portland Meadows Exit (306B). Turn right onto Victory Road. Continue onto Whitaker Rd. The Park is located near the intersection of Whitaker Rd. and N. Schmeer with entrance points located on both Whitaker, one-half block south of Hayden Meadows Drive and on N. Schmeer just east of Whitaker.

• Start out going NORTH on COLUMBIA ST toward W 3RD ST. (0.2 miles)
• Turn RIGHT onto W 5TH ST. (less than 0.1 miles)
• Merge onto I-5 S toward PORTLAND (5.5 miles)
• Merge onto I-405 S via EXIT 302B toward BEAVERTON/US-30 W/ST. HELENS (1.7 miles)
• Take the COUCH ST. exit- EXIT 2A- toward BURNSIDE ST. (0.1 miles)
• Stay straight to go onto NW 15TH AVE. (0.1 miles)
• Turn LEFT onto SW ALDER ST. (0.3 miles)
• Turn RIGHT onto SW BROADWAY (0.1 miles)
