Eligibility Requirements
In addition to correctly entering the meet and having equaled or bettered the
qualifying standard(s) during the stated
qualifying periods, the following criteria must also be met:
- Only citizens of the United States who are eligible to represent the U.S.
in all levels of international competition and who have met the published entry
standards between March 14, 2003 and February 23, 2004 are eligible to compete
in these Championships. See USATF
Rules for more information and exceptions.
- Female athletes must be 14 years or older on the day of competition. There
is no age restriction for male athletes.
- Athletes may enter an event(s) even if they have not yet met the
qualifying standard for that event(s). However, athletes will not be
permitted to compete unless they have:
- A 2004 USATF membership
- Met the entry standard by February 23, 2004
- An updated athlete location form on file with USADA
- Completed the entry process
- Completed the declaration process
- Proof of qualifying performance, if required, must be submitted to USATF no later than
1:00 p.m. ET,
Wednesday,
February 25, 2004. Any submittal received after that date will not be accepted.

- All athletes must be 2004 members of USATF in good standing. USATF
memberships may be purchased
online,
through your local Association Office, or by
calling the USATF National Office at 317-261-0478 x345.
- Athletes wishing to represent a branch of the Armed Forces of the United
States must be registered with the Membership Committee of their local USATF
Association.
