Olympic Games Processing The top six finishers in each event (top 8 in the 100m and 400m) will be asked to complete Olympic Games Processing located in the California Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel. A team representative will congratulate you and remind you of the processing requirement before you leave the Post-Event Recovery Area. In order to be officially nominated as a member of the 2004 USA Track & Field Team for the Summer Olympics, eligible athletes must complete the official Team Processing at the Olympic Trials. The following is a time schedule for athletes who qualify to complete the necessary processing. Athletes should plan on spending between 2 to 3 hours at processing and need to attend processing during their allotted time. (Special arrangements can/will be made for athletes who qualify in multiple events.) Due to time needed for cool downs, drug testing, and other various post-competition obligations, athletes will be scheduled to complete team processing on the day after their competition. Athlete must bring a valid passport to Team Processing. Passports must not expire at anytime in the 2004 calendar year to be deemed valid for travel to Athens. Note: Athletes who need to complete Team Processing for the marathon or race walk can arrange an alternative time if they are competing in another event at the Olympic Trials. The schedule for Olympic Team Processing is as follows:
Athletes who qualify in the following events will need to proceed to the Doubletree to complete their team processing immediately after they complete drug testing on Sunday.
Note: All Olympic Team nominations are due to the USOC by midnight on Sunday, July 18, 2004, and therefore it is imperative that athletes in Sunday's events report to Team Processing as soon as possible to ensure that they are properly nominated to the Olympic Team. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
