Olympic Games Processing

The top six finishers in each event (top 8 in the 100m and 400m) will be asked to complete Olympic Games Processing located in the California Ballroom at the Doubletree Hotel. A team representative will congratulate you and remind you of the processing requirement before you leave the Post-Event Recovery Area.

In order to be officially nominated as a member of the 2004 USA Track & Field Team for the Summer Olympics, eligible athletes must complete the official Team Processing at the Olympic Trials. The following is a time schedule for athletes who qualify to complete the necessary processing. Athletes should plan on spending between 2 to 3 hours at processing and need to attend processing during their allotted time. (Special arrangements can/will be made for athletes who qualify in multiple events.) Due to time needed for cool downs, drug testing, and other various post-competition obligations, athletes will be scheduled to complete team processing on the day after their competition.

Athlete must bring a valid passport to Team Processing. Passports must not expire at anytime in the 2004 calendar year to be deemed valid for travel to Athens.

Note: Athletes who need to complete Team Processing for the marathon or race walk can arrange an alternative time if they are competing in another event at the Olympic Trials.
