Media Credentials

USA Track & Field, the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon & Family Fitness Weekend, and the St. Louis Sports Commission welcome the media to the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Women's Marathon. To obtain credentials, please note the following:

• Media credentials will be issued to working media only.
• All credentials are non-transferable and any unauthorized use will subject the bearer to removal from the premises and confiscation of credentials.
• A request for credentials does not guarantee they will be issued.
• All requests must be faxed or mailed on original company stationary and signed by Supervising Sports, News or Photo Director/Editor.
• Deadline for requests is Friday, March 12, 2004.
• No changes to requests will be accepted after Friday, March 26.

Credential Types

There are three types of passes: General Media, Press Truck, Photo Area

General Media: Allows access to Media Center, where working media can watch broadcast of race; news conferences; start and finish-line media areas; and Media Center press shuttles.

Press Truck: Allows media to ride on press truck during the entire race. No one will be permitted off the truck at any point once race has started. Space is limited. Not all requests can be honored.

Photo Area: Allows access to finish-line photo area, intended for professional photographers only. Space is limited. Not all requests can be honored.

A confirmation letter will be e-mailed or faxed to the editor/director prior to the event for requests submitted by deadline. This confirmation letter is required to pick up credentials at the Public Relations Center located at the St. Louis Marriott Pavillion Downtown, Credentials must be picked up no later than 6 p.m. on April 2nd.

Trials credentials will be honored for the Spirit of St. Louis Marathon held Sunday, April 4. Separate credentials are not necessary.

How to Apply

Please have your Supervising Sports, News or Photo Director/Editor issue a letter of assignment produced on original company stationery no later than March 12, 2004. In addition, please complete the Credential Request Form (PDF) and attach the letter of assignment. Send completed credential requests to:
