Media Credentials

USA Track & Field, the Alabama Sports Foundation and Birmingham Marathon, Inc. welcome the media to the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Men's Marathon. It is our goal to make your job in covering the events as easy and pleasant as possible. To obtain credentials, please note the following information:

Media credentials are issued to working media only. All credentials are non-transferable, and any unauthorized use will subject the bearer to removal from the premises and confiscation of the credential. A request for credentials does not guarantee they will be issued. There will be three credentialed press areas: general access, press truck and photo bridge. Please note that space on the Photo Bridge and the Press Truck are limited. The Media Center for credentialed media will be on the ground level of the Tutwiler Hotel. A general press pass will allow access to the Media Center. The Media Center will be the location for pre- and post-race news conferences.

Please have your supervising editor or director issue a letter of assignment produced on original company stationery no later than January 20, 2004. In addition, please complete the Credential Request Form (PDF) and attach the letter of assignment. Send completed credential requests to:

A confirmation letter will be e-mailed or faxed to the editor prior to the event for requests received before the deadline. No changes or confirmed requests will be accepted after the Monday before the event. This confirmation letter will act as an access pass into the media center in order to obtain your credentials.
