Entry Information

You must be a 2004 USATF member to enter the Olympic Trials.  If you do not have a 2004 membership, please complete a membership application first. You must also be a U.S. citizen and meet the eligibility requirements and qualifying standards.

Entry Deadlines and Fees

There is no entry fee for the Olympic Trials.  However, late entries incur a $100 late fee. All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Online entries must be paid for by credit card (USATF prefers VISA).

Entry Process

• Online entry is the only method of entry. No other form of entry will be accepted.
• A 2004 USATF membership is required to enter (please join online if you are not a member).
• To enter online, you will be required to provide your 2004 USATF membership number and password (click here to retrieve your password if you don't know it).
• A Help Line is available for those who need help with the entry process. For assistance call 317-261-0478 x325 during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
• For entries close to the deadlines: although we will make every reasonable effort, we cannot guarantee responses to requests for passwords.

Declarations

Once properly entered, all athletes must complete the declaration process. This process confirms your intention to compete in the Olympic Trials and allows you to update your qualifying mark.

Declaration Process

• Online is the only method of declaration. No other form of declaration will be accepted.
• Each athlete or his representative must declare whether that athlete will or will not compete. The person declaring may submit any corrected or improved mark.
• Athletes not declaring will be scratched.

• Late Declarations
  • Petitions may be filed by calling 205-540-0682 or by appearing in person at the Tutwiler Hotel located at Park Place at 21st North.
  • Athletes submitting a petition for late declarations will be assessed a $100 late fee. Late declarations fees must be paid by credit card. USATF prefers VISA.
  • No declarations will be accepted after 12:00 noon CT, Friday, February 6, 2004.
