Athlete Funding

Complete details about funding will be sent along with the "acknowledgement of receipt of entry" material sent by the Birmingham Marathon, Inc. office following the receipt of an athlete's entry form.

Olympic Trials "A" Standard - Funded - Men who have run 2:20:00 or better will receive a hospitality package that includes complimentary air transportation or mileage if driving, ground transportation, housing and meals for three days/nights. See Air Travel and Housing information for details.

Olympic Trials "B" Standard - Non-Funded - Eligible athletes who have attained a qualifying performance within the 2:20:01 to 2:22:00 standard will receive entry into the 2004 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Men's Marathon, but no funding.
