Julia Emmons - Distance

Since 1985, Emmons has served as the Executive Director of the Atlanta Track Club and the Director of the annual Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, which features more than 55,000 competitors. The 1996 Olympic men's and women's marathon director, Emmons was chosen National Road race Director of the Year in 1988 by Road Race Management. A member of Team USA's 1999 World Outdoor Championships staff, Emmons served as an Atlanta City Council Member At Large from 1997-2001. Emmons served as USATF's Chair of the Women's Long Distance Running Committee from 1990-1996.
